3rd March 2025 – Changes brought in to the Right to Manage

Today the provisions relating to the Right to Manage have changed.

Before these changes leaseholders could only pursue a Right to Manage if the building’s non-residential element did not exceed 25% – today this has been increased to 50%.

Changes have also been made to the liability of leaseholders perusing such a claim to cover the freeholder’s costs. In most cases they will not have to cover the freeholder’s costs – this is in order to make is cheaper for leaseholders to pursue a right to manage claim.
